Her presentation entitled Why Teachers Need Multiple Sources of Information about a Text's Complexity shows why all of the ways of measuring a text's complexity--readability and guided reading levels, qualitative features, and reader-task elements--are essential, if teachers are to provide the instruction that guides students up the Common Core's staircase of text complexity.
