Text Complexity and the Common Core: Moving into Action With Confidence

Freddy presents a webinar for Pearson Learning on the ways teachers can address text complexity in their classroom.

Text complexity is critical to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). In this engaging discussion, Dr. Freddy Hiebert, distinguished researcher and member of the Common Core State Standards advisory committee, describes what text complexity means, explains the rationale for including text complexity within the CCSS, and articulates how teachers can support students through the integration of complex text within English Language Arts Instruction. This presentation will provide teachers with the knowledge and confidence to move from philosophy to practice and incorporate text complexity into their classrooms.
