Abstract

Since 2011, TextProject has operated as a nonprofit aimed at supporting teachers, professional development leaders, and researchers by providing open-access resources that offer appropriate and engaging research-based solutions for improving literacy levels.
We have organized our resources based on three user groups: teachers, professional development leaders, and researchers. These resources can be easily accessed by visiting our website at www.textproject.org and locating the menus identifying each group.
Because many of our resources are not limited to a single user group, they have also been organized around general topics. For example, an interest in a topic, such as text complexity, is not limited to a single user group. Organizing resources based on topics is especially useful for teacher education and professional development contexts, where the discussion explores a specific focus.
At the present time (fall of 2014), we have resources for 14 topics and nearly 100 resources.
This guide provides a way for users to get an overview of the rich resources available at TextProject.
