Words, Concepts, and Complex Text

Words represent concepts, concepts are the basis of knowledge, and knowledge is presented in complex texts. To fully participate with complex texts requires a vibrant and generative vocabulary. Freddy will discuss how such vocabulary can be developed in classrooms with narrative and informational texts and across the grades.
